Why We Do, What We Do

     Chief William King Sr.

From our humble beginnings as a group of local volunteers in 1954 to becoming one of the largest ambulance companies in southern New Jersey, BEC has re
mained committed to expedient, safe, cost effective, high quality emergent and non-emergent medical transportation.

Our employees take pride in serving southern New Jersey, as we all live and raise our families in the areas we service. We put much effort into providing a level of care that we would want our own families to get—because often times, our own families do get our care in the community.

One of the things that make working in the medical transport and assistance fields different from other professions is that you have the ability to interact with people at their most vulnerable state. Often times, those we transport may be having the worst moment of their lives, and will tell our employees something they wouldn’t even tell their priest. We take this to heart, and strive to provide a calming, efficient service to our patients in their time of need, while maintaining the highest level of patient dignity and confidentiality.

And it isn’t always about making the life-saving technique, or using the hours of knowledge our employees have learned after hundreds of hours of training. It might just be the comfort a patient gets from holding the hand of an employee, or the welcomed conversation they have during transport. It’s the little things that make it all worthwhile for us.

For over sixty years, our company has been striving to provide a superior service to the residents of southern New Jersey. While the technology and skills we use may have changed, the same patient-focused values we began with remain. It is a privilege to assist and transport each patient that comes under our care, and we would be honored to provide expedient, safe, cost effective and high quality care to you and your loved ones. Thanks for visiting.
